Eyebrow shapes: how to choose yours

Your face shape is a starting point, not a rule. Here are the six common shapes, how brows are mapped, and how to ask for what you want.

Face shape: a starting point

Starting points, not rules
Face shapeStarting point
RoundA soft, slightly higher arch adds length.
OvalMost shapes work; a soft arch keeps it balanced.
SquareCurved or soft-arched brows soften a strong jaw.
HeartA low, rounded arch balances a wider forehead.
LongStraighter, flatter brows shorten the face.

Keep your natural shape

“I was nervous about losing too much thickness, but they listened perfectly and kept my natural shape while cleaning up all the stray hairs.”

How to ask for it

Say clean-up or reshape. Bring a photo if you have one. Your threader talks the shape through with you first. Nothing comes off until you say go.

“So consistent. Takes her time. So communicative.”
